Privacy Policy

ManLogX ("we", "us") operates the freight marketplace at manlogx.com, connecting shippers with transporters in South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Information we collect

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), and your business details (company name, registration and role as shipper or transporter).
• Marketplace activity — loads you post, bids and tenders, bookings, contracts, delivery confirmations, ratings, and documents you upload (e.g. proof of delivery).
• Wallet and payment data — token balances, transaction history, and bank account details you provide for withdrawals. Card payments are processed by Paystack; we never see or store your card number. We only receive a payment reference and confirmation of the outcome.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and basic usage logs, used for security and to keep the service running.

2. How we use it

• To create and manage your account and to operate the marketplace (matching loads, bids, bookings and contracts).
• To process token purchases, escrow payments and withdrawals.
• To share necessary details between the two parties to a transaction — e.g. a transporter you book will see your name, contact details and the load information.
• To prevent fraud, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations.
• To contact you about your account and transactions. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who we share it with

• Paystack — our payment processor, for token purchases and payment verification.
• Your counterparty — the shipper or transporter on the other side of a booking, only to the extent needed to perform the job.
• Service providers — hosting and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities — where the law requires it.

4. Retention

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required for legal, tax and dispute-resolution purposes (generally five years for financial records). You may ask us to delete your account; we will remove or anonymise personal information we are not legally required to keep.

5. Security

Traffic to ManLogX is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, payments are handled by Paystack (PCI-DSS compliant), and access to personal information is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure — if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

6. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to its processing. Contact us at support@manlogx.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

7. Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest revision; material changes will be announced in the app.
